About me: I provide therapy for individual clients as well as couples, polyamorous and consensually nonmonogamous relationship networks, and families. I have previous professional experience working with individuals impacted by juvenile justice systems, substance use, parenting issues, domestic violence, Trauma, women's issues, and neurodiversity, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have also designed and presented creative workshops on gender identity and participated in advocacy for equitable reproductive health access.
I believe that we are all impacted deeply by the systems that surround us, and that we cannot pathologize our way to liberation or personal healing. We cannot always grow in the environments that caused us hurt, and we cannot sustain change without understanding, support, and community. I believe that relationships and family come in many forms and configurations, and healthy interpersonal relationships are as unique as the individuals engaging in them. Everybody has a story, a narrative for their life. Tell me yours, and let’s talk about how you want the next chapters to look.
What it’s like in a session with me: I strive to make my clients feel seen and valued. Working with me is a collaboration; my goal is for clients to know that they are creating and working towards goals that will improve their lives and mental wellness. My clients are the experts in their own lived experience, and my practice seeks to reflect my clients’ autonomy. In session, I want to create a warm and informal environment that invites clients to explore themselves and their challenges from a perspective of empowerment and curiosity. My role is to provide tools, hold space, and support clients in healing and understanding themselves, the world, and the systems that impact all of our lives. I don’t believe therapy should be a rigid experience. Let’s have a cup of tea or coffee, get comfortable, and do good work together. I value laughter and tears in equal measure, and I’m here for whatever my client needs to address in session.
