Professional Interests: Maneesha provides individual psychotherapy to adults, 18 years and older. Clinical areas of interest include anxiety disorders, chronic and serious illness, grief and loss, sexual health, LGBTQIA2S+ support, disability advocacy and support, and relationship concerns. Maneesha has specialized training in working with older adults and sexual health.
Approach to Therapy: Maneesha’s approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based, as she draws on a variety of frameworks for treatment that will best meet the needs of the individual. Maneesha believes that the client is the expert of their own lives, and she strives to be compassionate, sensitive, and empathic as you both navigate what brought you to seek support. Selected Professional Experience: Maneesha's professional experience has been in the medical field providing support in oncology, veteran affairs, hospice and palliative care, and sexual health. Maneesha is also affiliated with Michigan Medicine's Center for Sexual Health, the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor, Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance, and the Washtenaw Intermediate School District. Maneesha has presented at the 2021 Annual Ataxia Conference with the National Ataxia Foundation to share information on accessing care, genetic testing, and benefits. Maneesha is currently engaged in research on sexual health and individuals with disabilities at Michigan Medicine.
